The Faculty of Social Studies is young and dynamic, and yet the history of social sciences at Masaryk University dates back to the 1920s, when the departments of sociology and psychology were founded. Apart from these traditional disciplines, you can choose from more modern fields such as conflict and democracy studies, international relations, or public policy and human resources. Students take part in international research teams and projects. With numerous student clubs and activities, the faculty has a rich social life offering something for everyone from drama to debate.
