About us

The Faculty of Informatics and Management is situated in a modern university campus and specializes in Information Management and Applied Informatics. About 1,800 students, both Czech and international, study in its new lecture and seminar rooms and computer classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology that can be used for a variety of seminars, other conferences and training courses.

The faculty is very strong in international cooperation within and outside the European Union, which enables students and staff to get study or practical experience abroad. On the other hand the faculty educates many foreign students.

An integral part of the faculty's activities is research and cooperation with the applied sphere.

Additional information

FIM offers Bachelor´s (3 years), Master´s (2 years) and Doctoral (4 years) study programmes in the field of Information Management and Applied Informatics.

The study programmes in Applied Informatics provide students the grounding necessary for their careers in computer systems (including both hardware and software aspects) and in applications of computers. Graduates of these study programmes are prepared to administer the enterprise information system, to work with specialized software or to provide IT consultancy and training.
