About us

The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague is a world-class centre for nuclear engineering, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programmes that blend theory with cutting-edge research facilities, including our own research reactor, tokamak and laser laboratories. Alongside nuclear engineering, faculty trains material scientists, chemical engineers, radiologists and particle physicists (in close collaboration with CERN), as well as specialists in mathematical engineering (analysing and modelling financial markets) and computer science (developing database systems for CERN and mainframe computing).

From day one, students build strong foundations in mathematics, physics and computer science, with the freedom to transfer between study fields during their first two years, ensuring they find the path that best matches their ambitions. A key advantage is early integration into research teams, preparing graduates for leadership roles in academia and industry worldwide.
