About us

The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague is a world-class centre for nuclear engineering, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programmes that combine strong theory with hands-on research in its own reactors, tokamak and laser laboratories. In addition to nuclear engineering, the faculty offers programs in quantum technologies, mathematical engineering, physical engineering, and nuclear and particle physics.

Admission and entrance exams

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAMS IN ENGLISH

  1. Submit an online application via prihlaska.cvut.cz.
  2. Pay the application fee of 950 CZK (approximately EUR 38).
  3. Submit required documents (certified transcripts, proof of previous education, nostrified diplomas if required, and proof of English proficiency) online, by post or in person.
  4. Pass the entrance examination. (Waived for the 2026/27 intake for Bachelor´s programmes under CTU’s recent policy update.)
  5. Receive a Letter of Admission confirming acceptance.

All decisions include a 15-day appeal period in line with the Higher Education Act
