About us

Prague City University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in collaboration with our key academic partner Teesside University from the UK. Our programme specializations and interests stem from our focus on work with industry and our commitment to the individual student experience and the fostering of leadership skills, communication and creativity.

Following the British model of education, our Bachelor’s degrees are undertaken over three years and our Master’s degrees are over one to two years. We also offer unique one-year Foundation programmes in Business, and also Art, Design & Media Practice, as well as a number of professional diplomas and accountancy certificates. In addition, our School of Education offers a Bachelor’s degree and a professional qualification for teaching English in Czech secondary schools and language schools internationally. Both programmes are accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT).

Admission and entrance exams

At Prague City University our Admissions Team makes the application process for each applicant as smooth as possible. We work with each applicant on an individual basis to find out what his or her needs and requirements are, as we want to offer the best possible choice of programme. There are no application fees or entrance examinations.

The application can all be completed online and once submitted, we will arrange a final interview with the Programme Leader. This is a crucial part of the application process. The interview is conducted in person at Prague City University for applicants who are able to travel to us or by Skype or Zoom for international applicants.

We encourage all applicants to visit Prague City University, meet our staff and students and see our campus firsthand. The Admissions team, lecturers and students are always happy to share their experiences with you.

A highly practical education

Students combine learning with practical projects, fieldwork, live projects, internships, business simulations, global and local case studies, ongoing contact with industry, and relevant research-based teaching. Our accreditation to run university programmes is from Teesside University, consistently ranked one of the top modern British universities for everything from teaching quality to social life (National Student Survey) and winner of multiple higher education awards. Our approval to run other higher and professional education programmes is from Pearson, a British educational authority with international recognition.

Great careers

In a recent survey, 91% of our graduates found employment or started companies. The remaining 9% enrolled in further studies. Students often find employment through contacts made with companies at Prague City University, and quite often they find career-path employment as early as their second year of studies. Among the major international companies that have employed Prague City University students and graduates are Amazon, DHL, ExxonMobil, Concur, HP, Wunderman, PwC, Fallon, Guerbet and Coca-Cola HBC.

City locations

Prague City University has three campuses. Our City Centre Campus is directly opposite Masarykovo nádraží in the dynamic new quarter of Masaryčka featuring multinational businesses, cafes, clubs, restaurants and cultural venues. PCU's Bishop’s Court Studios are just a short 5 minute walk away from the City Centre Campus, a dedicated art and design studio, it provides a dynamic space for classes, exhibitions, workshops, and a wide range of creative activities. Pragovka is PCU’s third campus, and in September 2024 will become our main custom-designed campus. Pragovka is in the developing district of Vysočany in Prague 9. Wherever you come from, you’ll enjoy studying in this special environment.
