About us

The modern campus of the University of Hradec Králové is a meeting point for thousands of young people, both Czech and foreign. It is situated a few steps from the historic centre and in addition to lecture halls, seminar as well as computer classrooms, there is a university library, script shop, art gallery, relaxation zones, canteens and other places to loosen up.

Wide range of study programmes includes economics, informatics and management at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, teaching, artistic and linguistic disciplines at the Faculty of Education, natural sciences and engineering fields at the Faculty of Science, social sciences and humanities at the Philosophical Faculty. In general applicants shall submit:

  • an application form,
  • an evidence of previous education (diploma and transcript) superlegalized and compared to Czech education system,
  • a confirmation of the language competency to study in English
  • a motivation letter
  • others according to the degree and specialization of a programme

The tuition fees vary from €3000 to €4000 per academic year (approximately USD3500 to USD4700). To find out actual tuition fee check out the details of the program you plan to study here.


Additional information

UHK is a scientific institution involved in research grants and competitions. University students can gain valuable professional and life experience during student mobilities for studies and for traineeships abroad, in more than 60 countries of North and South America, Africa, Asia and Europe.

The University of Hradec Králové is also working towards strengthening its position in international rankings.

There is opportunity to participate in various cultural, sports and other free-time activities and events. Many of them are organized by the students or student clubs themselves. And most of them are open to the public.

Accommodation is available for all international students in UHK dormitory which is a block of flats with kitchen, bathroom and toilet that are fully equipped for 4 – 6 students.
