concerts in PragueThe capital city will host dozens of significant concerts this year, including farewell tours of rock legends and premiere concerts of young stars. The list of concerts held in Prague in 2020 is huge, so here is our “best of” selection.  

Fans of old-school rock can enjoy concerts of KISS, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith. More hard can be heard from Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, System of a Down, and Helloween. Progressive rock band Yes will play their entire classic 1974 album Relayer, and Jethro Tull will highlight their prog years. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will also return with his Saucerful of Secrets band to play Pink Floyd’s trippy early work.

Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, and Joe Satriani are all scheduled to return to Prague. Harry Styles will perform his first solo concert in the country. Some of the notable women coming to perform in Prague are Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler and Suzi Quatro.

In January, the Prague audience can enjoy concerts of front 242, Adam Plachetka, and James Arthur. Plachetka is a Czech bass-baritone who appears regularly at the Metropolitan opera, New York. His gala at the O2 Arena in Prague promises a classical music concert combined with pop, jazz and swing genres.

The Kelly Family will perform at the O2 Arena in Prague in February as part of their Over the Hump Tour. Other February concerts will be played by Keane, Five Finger Death Punch, Lindemann and Suzi Quatro. Star Wars fans can enjoy the film music performed by the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra in Forum Karlín on February 23.

Avril Lavigne is back on the road after a long illness and will return to Prague in March. Bonnie Tyler, Pentatonix, Stormzy, and Erik Truffaz will also perform in March. Star Trek original series star William Shatner is also coming in March to introduce Star trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and lead a Q&A.

In May, Prague will see the concerts of Harry Styles, Celine Dion, Pet Shop boys, Eric Clapton Yes, Korn, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. June will feature shows of Guns N’ Roses, System of a Down, Seconds of Summer, Aerosmith, and Lenny Kravitz.

KISS and Iron Maiden will perform in July. In October, Prague audience can look forward to the Chainsmokers, Helloween, and A-ha. In November, Ozzy Osbourne returns to Prague for likely his final concert in the country.
