Living in Brno
Brno is a lively student city that offers you all the advantages of living in a city without the constant busyness and rush of capital. It is the second-largest city in the Czech Republic, is consistently being voted among the best student cities and has a perfect location in the heart of Europe to visit other European cities. It takes just two hours by bus to Vienna (Austria) and Bratislava (Slovakia) and four hours by car to Budapest (Hungary), Dresden (Germany), and Wroclaw (Poland).
A large community of international students
There are over 8,300 students at the university, including 5,500 undergraduates and 2,800 postgraduates. And almost 20% of all our students at MENDELU are from abroad.
Focus on sustainability
Research topics at MENDELU are often related to sustainability and climate change. They are up to date and often work with universities around the world. Recently there has been an expedition to the rainforest in the area of El Paraiso, and our students took part in research at the island of Socotra.
We could go on, but let’s stop right here. If you have any questions about studies at our university, don’t hesitate to contact us.
