ŠKODA AUTO UniversityŠKODA AUTO University has been a leader in education for the future for 20 years, contributes to the modernization of Czech higher education, and prepares students for the “Future 4.0”. Last year, it joined the ranks of higher education institutions combining an economic and technical focus thanks to the groundbreaking Industrial Management, and Business Administration and Management Informatics Bachelor’s degree programmes. In 2021, the university presents three innovations to expand its study programme offer.

Applicants interested in the Business Administration and Management Informatics Bachelor’s degree programme will now be able to study part-time, following on with full-time studies in the subsequent Master’s programme. The admissions procedure is also open for a unique professionally focused study programme – Industrial Management – which can now also be studied as a Master’s degree programme and thus follow on from the Bachelor’s degree programme of the same name.  The follow-up study programmes are a response by ŠKODA AUTO University to the current demands of industry and the global trend of digitalisation in companies.

The STUDY&WORK programme is one of the groundbreaking and unique programmes of ŠKODA AUTO University and is particularly popular with applicants.  Students in this programme study part-time right from the first term, enjoy considerable earnings, and acquire important professional experience at both ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and its contractual partners. You can find more information about the STUDY&WORK programme, open for applications until 30 April 2021, here.

The above-mentioned professional experience is also part of the 3.5-year Bachelor’s degree programmes at ŠKODA AUTO University. Students usually do their mandatory professional experience at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. or at the university’s partner companies, but internships at companies abroad, primarily within the VW Group, are no exception.

This of course directly contributes towards the excellent employment prospects for graduates on the labour markets – both in the Czech Republic and abroad.  Graduates leave ŠKODA AUTO University equipped with the necessary practical experience and skills, with almost all of them immediately finding work.

ŠKODA AUTO University also places great emphasis on the language skills of its students. Practically every student who decides to spend one or two terms abroad through the Erasmus+ project at one of over sixty partner universities throughout Europe has the chance to improve their language skills. In addition to the European programme for student mobility, students can also travel beyond Europe’s borders to partner universities in Asia.

The STUDY&DRIVE programme is another significant benefit for ŠKODA AUTO University students. Students can select and get a Škoda vehicle at operating lease under the same conditions as ŠKODA AUTO a.s. employees.

“I decided to study at ŠKODA AUTO University because of the many opportunities that it opened up – work experience abroad, work in my field while studying, and an individual approach. I did not want to do a course with a narrow focus, and I knew that at ŠKODA AUTO University I would be able to adapt the course to my own preferences. After almost two years of study, I can confidently say that I do not regret my decision. I am studying interesting subjects that I enjoy, foreign languages with native speakers are a fantastic benefit, and I have also managed to cope with the more difficult subjects thanks to the willingness of the teachers who always find time for consultation. I began working in marketing right from the first year, which enables me to try out my knowledge in the real world. ŠKODA AUTO University has given me so much, and I am looking forward to seeing the new opportunities it will bring me.” Matěj Šafránek, student
