Last call for applications: Summer Filmmaking Campus at FAMU in Prague

Filmmaking Summer School in PragueStudents, young aspiring professionals or other creative people can apply for the Summer Filmmaking Campus organised by the Film and TV of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The course starts on July 17th and lasts four weeks.

The organizers are looking for open-minded talented young people who are open to the challenges presented by the various stages of the filmmaking process. One of the challenges lies in collaborative work, the ability to deliver ideas and participate in developing input from one’s colleagues.

The summer course takes place in Prague between 17th of July and 14th of August and offers four weeks of intense work with experienced professionals and tutors. During more than 50 hours a week, participants will be introduced to analogue shooting, developing and editing and will take part in photographic exercises, sound editing and directing seminars. The maximum number of applicants is 16 as students will be divided in four groups of four and will collaborate on a major project – a short movie fully developed, shot and edited by themselves.

The fee for the Summer Filmmaking Campus is 113 500 CZK and covers tuition, good quality accommodation, local transport costs, location scouting and visa consulting. FAMU in Prague has a great reputation worldwide – it is featured on the list of TOP 15 international film schools as published annually by The Hollywood Reporter, and the students, teachers and graduates are successful both domestically and internationally.
