study economics and businessThe Prague University of Economics and Business, founded in 1953, is the biggest public university in the Czech Republic that focuses on economics and business. Its renowned faculties offer various study programmes from bachelor to PhD to about 14 000 students each year. The university is annually appraised as one of the best business schools in Central Europe and graduates easily find employment in the fields of their study.

Facilities

All faculties are located in the centre of Prague and are bustling campuses providing high level of study environment. Their library contains more than 430 000 books, 330 specialised journals and access to numerous electronic databases on various topics. There are hundreds of computer stations across campuses, wi-fi everywhere and a student dormitory.

The school also has its own sports facilities: a gym, courts for volleyball and basketball, and a climbing wall. They also support clubs and activities such as a choir, an orchestra, a folklore group, a film club, a theatre and student journals. You definitely won’t be bored!

Open Days 2023

If you would like to experience the university before you decide, the Open House Day for all applicants across faculties will be taking place on 15 February. You can meet with current students, talk to student ambassadors, join guided tours around the campus and ask about peculiarities of particular study programmes. If you’re not in Prague yet, it’s possible to participate online via MS Teams. Open Days introducing Master programmes at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics are taking place separately and a bit earlier, on 31 January.

Become a CEMSie

If you want to study in Czechia only for one semester, you might be interested in becoming a CEMSie and enrol into their exchange programme to gain international experience. CEMS invites you to the Evening with CEMS which is a Q&A session for all potential students which will take place on 31 January via Zoom. Participating is free, but you need to register beforehand.

Conference 2023

Prague University of Economics and Business is hosting the 38th Workshop on Strategic Human Resource Management on 27-28 April. This year, the main theme is Challenges for Human Resource Management in the Next Generation. You can look forward to various topics covering employee engagement, digital solutions, data privacy, ethical issues related to AI and machine learning and performance monitoring. If you wish to present your own paper, the submission deadline is 1 February.
