International student - virtual open day - coronavirusThe ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced higher education institutions and schools around to world to undergo a transition to a virtual model of instruction and operation. Moving online has also affected university admissions departments and prospective candidates. That is why the University of New York in Prague decided to host UNYP Virtual Open Days starting in April.

The Virtual Open Day

will provide you an opportunity to experience the Open House events from anywhere in the world with a reliable internet connection, and you will get access to all of the same valuable insights into life at UNYP. As with all UNYP Open Days, you will need to register for the Virtual Open Day on the website’s event page, where you can choose the most convenient date. The first Virtual Open Day will take place on April 9 at 5pm local time.

During the Virtual Open Day, the admissions team will first have a presentation about the university, schools and programs, and afterwards you will have time to ask questions and find out everything you want to know about the program of your interest. We recommend you take some time to read through the programs offer and admission requirements prior to attending the Virtual Open Day.

“As we address a new reality of the Czech national quarantine, we must collectively work to continue fulfilling our academic mission,” says George Kokkalos, Director of Admissions at UNYP. “We will consider offering the Virtual Open Day option even after we reopen our campus, as it will be convenient for many of our potential international students.”

The University of New York in Prague

was established in April 1998 in cooperation with the State University of New York, New Paltz, and the State University of New York Empire State College. This cooperation enables UNYP to offer students the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized American bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York. UNYP also works closely with its European sister college, New York College, in Athens, Greece. New York College has more than 20 years’ experience in offering international bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programs, including international MBA programs, in partnership with accredited American and European universities.
