Days of Open Doors at the Metropolitan University PragueThe Metropolitan University Prague invites you to Days of Open Doors. After taking place online in spring due to the global pandemic, prospective students now have a chance to visit the university in person on 2nd and 21st of September. The programme of Days of Open Doors will start at 5 p. m. on both days at the MUP Strašnice Building in Dubečská street in Prague 10.

During the Days of Open Doors, prospective applicants will have an opportunity to find out detailed information about submission of applications, admission proceedings, individual specialisations, instruction, and foreign languages taught at MUP. Furthermore, they can meet with the representatives of the individual departments and ask them questions about the specific major or course offered.

Schedule of the Days of Open Doors at MUP:

1. Introduction at 5:00 p.m. (approximately 50 minutes)

MUP management including MUP Rector, Professor Michal Klíma, will introduce the university and all its study specialisations, opportunities to study abroad, instruction of foreign languages; and they will present the requirements of the admission procedure and other MUP activities. However, the general introduction is held in Czech language only.

2. Information seminars on individual specialisations (approximately 30 minutes)

you can choose which study specialisation interests you; during the seminar, the representative of the relevant MUP Department will introduce the specialisation in full detail and answer all questions. Moreover, prospective students will have a chance to experience a model lecture. The list of rooms, in which the individual seminars will be held, will be distributed during the introduction at 5:00 p.m. The information seminars are held in the language of the relevant specialisations, i.e. in Czech or in English.

Metropolitan University Prague ranks among the oldest and largest private universities in the Czech Republic. Every year, approximately 1500 students enroll in the first year of studies at MUP. As of present, MUP provides education to approximately 4000 students. Since its establishment in 2001, the university produced almost 15000 alumni. MUP offers study programmes in the area of the humanities, international territorial studies, legal specialisations, media and communication studies, and international economic relations in both full-time and part-time forms of study in Czech as well as English. Metropolitan University Prague provides education in Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree study programmes.
