Prague was named the best student city in Europe

Prague is the best European student city, according to Campus Advisor. Prague came on top in competition with 50 other cities on the continent. Brno, another Czech student city, did not do badly either, finishing in thirteenth spot.
Among the categories Campus Advisor considered when compiling the rankings were nightlife, safety, prices, academic environment and public transportation. The authors of the rankings were also interested to know how student-friendly the city is, how culturally diverse it is, and what opportunities students have in the city for activities outside of their studies. To find out, they interviewed students who had lived and studied in each city.
Prague performed well in almost all categories. It scored highest in the nightlife category. It came in second, just behind Newcastle in the North of England. The city also ranks among the best in terms of amenities – such as access to parks, shops, museums, restaurants, or cafes. In this category Prague came ahead of Paris, taking fourth place overall. The capital of Czechia came fifth in the public transport category.
Prague however is not the friendliest Czech student city. That title belongs to Brno, which beat the capital by one place in this category and came in fifth.
Price-wise Prague did not do too well. It came in sixteenth. It was again beaten by Brno and most of the student cities in neighboring countries. Its worst category was the cultural diversity one, where it came in nineteenth place.
