Open admissions at Czech universitiesAlthough most admissions for Fall semester in 2020 are already closed, you can still apply to several Degree study programmes at some of the best Czech universities. Read our brief guide on which application deadlines have been extended and find out which majors you can still apply for today. If none of these options sounds appealing to you, be sure to go through the complete offer of study programmes and specific requirements for spring 2021 at the official websites of the universities.

At Metropolitan University Prague, applications for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree study programmes are open until October 26, 2020. Those seeking Doctoral Degree programmes must apply before July 31, 2020. The entrance examinations for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree study programmes in English are held online in the period from April 20, 2020 to October 26, 2020. Each applicant receives a login combination to the online application upon submitting the application to study. In addition to specific requirements depending on individual majors, all applicants must submit a certified copy of the relevant secondary school leaving certificate or university diploma or, as the case may be for graduates of foreign educational institutions, its official recognition, according to the application guidelines for the individual specializations.

Charles University has extended application deadlines for some study programmes conducted in foreign languages. The application deadlines for Bachelor’s Degree study programmes in Economics and Finance, History and Area Studies, Politics, Philosophy and Economics and Social Sciences have been moved to August 31, 2020. Students applying to Master’s Degree programme in Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies, Corporate Strategy and Finance in Europe, Economics and Finance, European Politics and Society: Václav Havel Joint Master Programme, Geopolitical Studies, International Economic and Political Studies, International Relations, International Security Studies, Area Studies, Media and Area Studies, Public and Social Policy, Sociology in European Context and Society, Communication and Media can send in their applications until August 31, too. The deadline for applications for International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies has been extended to August 25, 2020. Students can still apply to Master’s Degree programme in Protestant Theology, too, as the new application deadline has been set to August 10, 2020.

There is still a chance for those international students, who want to start to study at Prague College in September 2020, too. Non visa students can send their application in the third round deadline until July 31, 2020. “Late registration” for them is on September 29, 2020. Prague College offers programmes in business, art, design, computing and media.

Also the Anglo-American University admissions team is still accepting applications for study programmes in business, computing or humanities and it is ready to support students through the application process as the COVID-19 situation develops. It is still possible to apply to the study programmes of Cevro Insitute (BA – Economics, Business, Politics or MA – Philosophy, Politics, Economics) starting in Fall 2020, too.

There are several “examination dates” for prospective students at the Unicorn University soon. The deadline for submitting an application for study is always two days before selected admission day. Third admission day is on August 20, 2020, next are on September 1, 8, 17 this year. The applicants can chose from Software Development (BSc.), Business Management (BSc.), Software Engineering and Big Data (MSc.) or Applied Economics and Data Analysis (MSc.).

International students can send their application for the University of New York in Prague, too. If you are interested, join its Virtual Open Days – next on August 6, 2020 – and chose from variety of BA, MA or MBA study programmes. It is also possible to submit an application for the Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague for the academic year 2020/2021 until July 31, 2020.
